I’ve had some sweet moments in gaming as well. Here are a few:
I lead the first ever player run storyline in MMORPG A Tale In The Desert. “Octec’s Curse” spanned several session and involved 7 mystical characters threatening the destrction of all civilization in Egypt. With minimal help from the developers, the cast was able to covince the Egyptians to band together and repay their wrongs against the ancient king.
I beat all these leagues on Godlike in the original Unreal Tournament:
- Deathmatch
- Capture the Flag
- Assault
- Domination
My awesome needs-to-be-nerfed Warsinger bard solos whole rooms while the party watches in DDO.
When the developers were handing out 125 free levels in Holtburg, I told everyone to line up behind me and my jaw dropped when all 300 people obeyed. People started telling on others to me like I was some kind of authority. Best moment Asheron’s Call ever.
I was a Defender in “The Shard of The Herald” event. I protected the Crystal Prison from nefarious PK’s who were hoping to release the demon Bael’Zharon. I pulled regular shifts in the 24 hour defense of the Crystal’s Inner Sanctum.
I was there when my guild was the second guild on my server to take down Nefarion.
I almost killed Fatal1ty in 1-on-1 deathmatch during a CreativeLabs promotion. He said something like “That was the closest I’ve come to dying all day”.
